Lamborghini owned by British pop star up for auction at huge price
A bright red Lamborghini that was owned by a British pop legend for 25 years has gone up for auction at an unbelievable price.
The star bought the 1977 classic on a tour of Australia and had it shipped to his LA pad when he was done.
Hot Legs singer Sir Rod Stewart couldn't resist the allure of the Lamborghini Countach and bought it just three years after the stunning motor came out.
This particular Countach is the exceptionally rare Periscopio version, of which only 150 were made in a limited run from 1974-78.
The calico dashboard doesn't have a mark on it and the retro Lamborghini Raging Bull logo is proudly embossed in gold at the centre of the steering wheel.
Sir Rod parted ways with the Lambo in 2002. The motor was later converted to left-hand drive and taken back to America where it underwent a full remodel in 2022.
Sir Rod is a renowned petrolhead and collector of luxury cars. A few years ago he personally filled in potholes near his Essex home not to damage his Ferraris.
