Kate Garraway’s emotional return to GMB as she admits she was in tears & thanks fans for heartfelt messages

Kate Garraway has made an emotional return to Good Morning Britain as she admitted she was in tears but thanked her fans for their heartfelt messages.

The brave presenter, 56, was reunited with Ben Shephard after two months off-air.

Kate's return came after the tragic death of beloved husband Derek Draper and his funeral on February 2.

Speaking to Ben live on air Kate said: "It's lovely to be back here. It's odd, I feel very weird."

The broadcaster said the couple's children, Darcey, 17, and Billy, 14, had provided her with "fantastic support".

And said the make-up team's greeting at GMB had made her cry and that she had been touched by messages of support from fans and viewers.

Kate had vowed to return to work soon after the death of Derek, 56, who died after a long battle with Covid-related illness and disease.
