Jeremy Clarkson splashes out on a pub - but admits it might be a disaster

He's known for his 'more power' car reviews and more recently running a farm in the stunning English Cotswolds.

But now Jeremy Clarkson, who brews his own Hawkstone beer, has revealed he is buying a pub.

The Clarkson's Farm star is investing close to £1m on a country pub close to his Oxfordshire farm Diddly Squat.

Jezza's decision to open up the pub comes after his previous attempts to crack the hospitality industry were thwarted by the local council.

A converted barn on Diddly Squat that was to operate as a restaurant had to be shut down for breaching planning regulations.

The 64-year-old hopes to find more success with the new pub called The Windmill, near Burford, which he plans to  re-name Clarkson's Arms and open in 2025.

Jeremy admitted his friends are sceptical about his new endeavour, though, warning that the "evidence [suggests] it will be a total disaster".
