INSIDE EX-PREMIER LEAGUE STAR'S LUXURY HOTEL IN ICELAND

Hermann Hreidarsson, an FA Cup winner with Portsmouth, has broken into the hotel world since his retirement.

The former Iceland international launched the four-star Stracta Hotel located around 60 miles from the Icelandic capital of Reykjavik.

Nearly 10 years after opening, it is still going strong and is seemingly the perfect spot to witness the Northern Lights, with punters rating it four out of five on TripAdvisor.

There are a total of 148 rooms, starting at around £127-per-night and can be as much as £500-per-night for the superior accommodations.

Wander into the hotel gardens and you will discover the hotel saunas and communal hot tubs.

On the ground floor, you'll discover the reception desk imprinted with a reminder you are "Next Door to Nature".

There are lots of activities on offer - but one has to be trying to spot the ex Crystal Palace, Wimbledon, Ipswich Town, Charlton Athletic and Portsmouth player.
