I tried the new McDonald’s summer menu – two new sweet treats stole all the limelight but one item lacked originality

New items have hit McDonald's menus and we taste-tested all of them.

This will be a hit with fans, even if it is a bit more than a standard McFlurry at £2.19 (343 kcal). But I'm not sure I'd be able to finish it!

Essentially a Triple Cheeseburger with a bigger price tag (£5.89). Aside from the sesame bun and lack of gherkins, I can't see any difference.

The Hat Trick

Similar to the old Raspberry and White Chocolate Pie, but the balance between the chocolate and the raspberry was just right. For £1.99 I say why not?

Galaxy Chocolate and Raspberry Pie

Stacked with plenty of ice so there's no risk of it going warm but still gives you a caffeine kick. I enjoyed this but others might think it needs sweetening up.

Iced Latte

You can't go wrong with chocolate, caramel and ice cream! With really nice, thick chocolate pieces, it reminds me of the old Caramel Sundae.

Nine is the right number if you're looking to share, but too much for one. Now with new and improved Garlic Mayo or Sweet & Smoky BBQ dip.
