I tried all the supermarket Euro meal deals – one had two HUGE pizzas and nachos for a tenner
Many supermarkets are offering meal deals for the Euro tournament. Lynsey Hope had a look to see which one is best value for money and how good they taste.
The pizzas are usually £5.25 by themselves so you're definitely making a saving. They were among the best we tried and the kids loved the garlic bread side.
Sainsbury’s
4/5
£12 Two pizzas, two sides and a dip
You need a Clubcard to bag this deal. While it's essentially the same price as Sainsbury’s, it's a great option for one person. Side options were limited to breads though.
Tesco
2/5
£6 One Tesco Finest pizza and a side bread
Huge pizzas and lovely that you could opt for half and half, as it gave us the chance to try different flavours. The nachos were delicious too.
Morrisons
5/5
£10 Two 14in Market Street pizzas and Nachos
The four-pack of beers costs £4.45 so this was a great deal as you're getting the pizzas for less than £2.80 each. They were a decent size and tasted good.
Iceland
3/5
£10 Two Chicago Town Pizza’s, four-pack of Budweiser or two bottles of Pepsi Max
Out of all the deals I tried, this was one of the most versatile. The pizza flavours were far more exciting than most of the other deals and tasted delicious.
Waitrose
5/5
£12 Two stone-baked pizzas plus two extras
There were some great flavours on offer and plenty of choice. The real standout was the Cookie Dough Dessert which the kids lapped up and I would definitely buy again.
Asda
4/5
£10 Two pizzas, one dip and either a side or a dessert
