I transformed old combine harvester into a quirky tiny home… now it has a staircase & fridge it makes £120-a-night
A farmer has spent £20,000 transforming his old combine harvester into a quirky holiday home
Will Roughton spent four months converting the farming machinery into a cosy BnB on his campsite
He purchased the Massey Ferguson 860, which he's named Kaleb, for just £5,000
Will hollowed out the machine to get an “empty shell” to work with but left the engine in so he could drive it into its slot on the property
Once it was empty, Will added insulation, under-floor heating and wiring to transform it into a liveable space
He then added furniture such as a king-sized bed, kitchen counter, a staircase, shelves and fridge, while the communal toilets and hot showers were also close by
After months of work, the transformation was a success with the property sleeping up to four guests and costing £120 per night to stay
