I tested pudding versions of big name chocolate bars – winner was melt-in-the-mouth delicious & the kids loved them too

Quite small for the price, but it definitely packs the flavour of Yorkie chocolate and is very creamy, smooth and quite satisfying to eat.

Yorkie  Milk Chocolate Dessert

4/5

£1.85  (2 x 65g)

Had the same minty flavour as After Eight but the white mousse was very airy - I didn’t really enjoy it.

After Eight Mousse

1/5

£2.50  (4 x 57g)

Really enjoyed this but there is not too much to it. Taste-wise you can’t really go wrong but I would have expected more for the money.

Cadbury  Flake Chocolate Dessert

3/5

£1.15  (1 x 75g)

Lovely light, fluffy texture and a pleasant chocolatey taste. You can feel those bubbly bits of chocolate melt in the mouth with each spoonful.

Aero  Bubbly Mousse

4/5

£1.50  (4 x 59g)

Tasted similar to the Aero pudding, but cost a bit more. It had the same bubbly texture. Nice, but I’m not sure it really tasted like a Wispa.

Cadbury  Wispa Pudding

3/5

£2  (4 x 45g)

These faithfully recreate the classic Rolo taste and the toffee layer is melt-in-the-mouth delicious. Incredibly more-ish and the kids loved them too.

Rolo  Chocolate and Toffee

5/5

£2.50  (4 x 65g)

Silky smooth texture, wonderfully glossy. The original flavour is spot on – and there is definitely something about Cadbury’s choc.

Dairy Milk Chocolate Pots of Joy

£2.70  (4 x 60g)
