A tiny UK island is set to become a new tourist attraction, with exciting plans to add luxury accommodation and other features.
A bar, cafe and living spaces will all be included on the Isle of Pladda, just off the coast of Arran, Scotland.
The "dramatic and remote" island, which features a lighthouse, is just a 15 minute boat trip from Silver Sands beach.
Architects Denham Youd have been tasked with the designs for the new resort, which is hoped will increase tourism to Arran.
You can also visit the Isle of Erraid, just off the tip of the Ross of Mull. It’s linked to the mainland by an expanse of sand at low tide.
Tidal island Davaar, located at the mouth of Campbeltown Loch, is accessed by a long shingle causeway. You can swim from the jetty and rake for whelks.
The Isle of Seil is where Princess Diana's mum Frances Shand Kydd used to live. It is accessed by Clachan Bridge, popularly known as the "Bridge over the Atlantic".
