The cheapest place to visit in Spain for 2024 has been revealed - and it's got some of the best beaches in one of the most popular spots in the country.

Experts from TravelSupermarket analysed package deals to Spanish holiday resorts to get the best average prices and discovered that Blanes in the Costa Brava is the most affordable for travellers this year.

The family-favourite is often quieter than its resort neighbours Lloret de Mar and Tossa de Mar and is great value too, with a seven-night summer holiday working out at just £445pp on average.

Once you're there, the savings don't stop with the price of a beer around €2 (£1.70) while you can get a three-course meal for two at a mid-range restaurant from around €32 (£27.25)

Blanes is famed for its award-winning botanical gardens - described as among the most beautiful in the Mediterranean - and stunning, uncrowded beaches like Sant Francesc and Playa S'Abanell.

Another popular attraction is Castle of Sant Joan, which was built between the 11th and 13th centuries and offers incredible views over the coastline and nearby mountains.

Getting to Blanes - where temperatures reach 30C in the summer months - from the UK is fairly simple, with a drive from Girona Airport taking just half an hour.
