British Airways is adding an exciting new location to its list of destinations, with flights starting later this year.
The latest route from the UK's flag carrier will be catering for those looking at Lapland for their next winter getaway.
Passengers can now book flights from London Gatwick to Ivalo, Finland's most northerly airport, which will launch on December 3.
Ivalo is a village on the Ivalo River, located in the Arctic Circle. It welcomes visitors from all over the world, particularly during the winter months.
It's known as a gateway to Saariselkä, a resort village attracting those who enjoy winter sports from skiing and snowmobile safaris to toboggan rides and snowshoeing.
Ivalo’s remote location also lends itself to spectacular views of the Northern Lights. Parents can also take their kids to meet Santa at the Northern Lights Village in the resort.
Return flights are available now from £345 and will run twice a week until February 14, 2025. They will be operated by BA Euroflyer.
