Bridge is back! And the fourth movie in the Bridget Jones franchise is set to have some sizzling storylines -  and a tragic death.

It is 23 years since the first movie, Bridget Jones's Diary, hit our screens starring Renée Zellweger, Colin Firth and Hugh Grant.

Two sequels followed - Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason (2004) and Bridget Jones's Baby (2016).

Now the iconic character is returning in Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy where Renée's Bridget will feature as a cougar who picks up a toyboy.

Insiders confirmed star of Netflix hit One Day, Leo Woodall, 27, will play Bridget’s love interest in the film, which is about to start filming and will release next year.

A source said: "Leo was thrilled about landing the part and will have a major role as her love interest in Mad About The Boy."

The movie will kick off with hapless Bridget navigating life as a single mum of two following the death of Colin Firth’s character Mark Darcy.
