Can't seem to get a specific website to load? Here's everything you can try to figure out the problem and hopefully get it working again.

First of all, what's a 404 error code?  If this status code appears it means the page you were trying to reach on a website couldn't be found on their server.

Head to a different website and see if that’s down too. If it is, chances are there’s a problem with your internet.

Option One

Use a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to check whether these websites are down in other locations as well. If not, try reconfiguring your VPN.

Option two

If you have access to X, formally known as Twitter, companies often give updates on the status of the website if it is indeed down.

Option three

Use a tool to check the website's status. Downdetector is one of the best ways to check if your desired website is having issues or outages.
