Amazing never before seen pictures of Royals revealed
Previously unseen photos of the Royal Family are on display for the first time, including this remarkable picture of the then Queen Elizabeth, later the Queen mum, taken in 1939 by Sir Cecil Beaton.
The intimate images, including four regal mums with their babes in arms, were unveiled at Buckingham Palace for a special exhibition called Royal Portraits.
King George VI and Queen Elizabeth are shown with daughters Elizabeth & Margaret in 1943, at the height of World War Two.
Another image by Sir Cecil shows the future Queen in 1942 aged just 16 as a Colonel of the Grenadier Guards.
Princess Anne and brother Charles, now King, are snapped in 1956 by Lord Snowdon who would become their uncle when he later married Princess Margaret.
