An Italian airline is launching flights from a top UK airport to a popular holiday hotspot.
ITA Airways has confirmed that the new route will operate from London City Airport in the heart of the English capital to Rome Fiumicino.
Twelve weekly flights are scheduled starting on April 1 using the Airbus A220-100 aircraft.
Sun Online Travel has found economy-class tickets, which include hand luggage, a checked bag, and a seat reservation, from £143 per person for a one-way trip.
There are plenty of reasons to visit romantic Rome, including landmarks like The Colosseum, the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain.
The Italian airline is also introducing an extra flight from Milan Linate to London City.
It comes after start-up airline, Aeroitalia, confirmed a new route between London Southend Airport and Milan Bergamo later this year.
