The Nintendo Switch is still immensely popular seven years after its release. But despite its old age, it rarely goes on sale. However, thanks to Prime Big Deal Days and sales at other retailers, you can save money on the handheld console ahead of the holidays, including the upgraded Nintendo Switch OLED, which offers a more vibrant display and improved design over the original launched in 2017.

For instance, the retailer is dropping the Nintendo Switch OLED with white Joy-Con price to $309, down from its normal price of $349. You can put that money toward a new game, like the recently released The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.
The Nintendo Switch OLED offers the best experience in the brand’s handheld lineup. Its 7-inch OLED display is more vibrant and spacious than the screen found in the standard Switch or Switch Lite, and it offers a few welcome design tweaks, including a more robust kickstand for tabletop play. If the white Joy-Con isn’t your speed, Amazon has the Nintendo Switch OLED: Mario Red Edition, though it’s available at its normal price. If you don’t mind the smaller display of the standard Nintendo Switch, Walmart offers $38 off the retail price. That’s not the most significant deal we’ve ever seen, but considering the Switch rarely goes on sale, we welcome the savings. You can also save $14 on the Nintendo Switch Lite at Amazon. The Lite version puts an emphasis on the handheld experience, making it the most portable Switch available. This is an excellent gift for kids who are just getting into gaming (after completing their homework!).
After picking up a Nintendo Switch, consider adding some expandable storage. The console can run out of space pretty fast, so getting extra storage will ensure you can download all your favorite titles without deleting the games you already played.
