Sights you must not miss:

Mary Rose Museum

The award-winning 4D cinema experience lets you join the daring divers as they discover and raise the ship

HMS Victory

Admire one of the most celebrated ships in Britain’s naval history. HMS Victory was launched in 1759 and served as Admiral Nelson’s flagship during the Battle of Trafalgar. Restored in breathtaking detail, explore the decks and imagine life aboard this Georgian wonder.

You can also learn about the once-in-a-lifetime project to preserve HMS Victory for future generations and visit the gallery for a cinematic experience, enhanced interactive exhibits and artefacts.

Launched in 1860, this iron-hulled warship represents a defining moment in naval engineering. Reimagined as she was in 1863, the ‘Dockyard Alive’ team brings Victorian England to life, enabling visitors to hear and see her history and meet the people who lived, breathed and worked aboard during her heyday.

Not only can you explore the beautifully recreated interior, you can also venture down into the engine rooms to see the machinery that revolutionized the Royal Navy and discover the secrets behind the ship.

HSE Alliance

Experience submarine life aboard HMS Alliance, a Second World War submarine launched in 1945. This interactive experience aboard Britain’s only remaining Second World War submarine provides a unique insight into the life of a submariner. Look through the working periscopes and see, hear and even smell how life was lived under the sea.

HMS M.33

One of the last British warships from the First World War open to the public, visitors can see an immersive film show and exhibition dedicated to the Gallipoli campaign, in which it played a pivotal role.

Experienced guides on board will help you uncover the hidden lives of the men who fought on the little known ‘Eastern Front’. You can also explore the cabins, which have been recreated as they were when she served.

National Museum of the Royal Navy

Immerse yourself in the rich history of the Royal Navy with exhibits ranging from Nelson’s era to modern day operations. Experience the stories of the fleet in war and peace throughout history.

The Sailing Gallery highlights the often unpleasant realities of life aboard the ships that built the Royal Navy and the origins of traditions that endure into the present day. Explore the Nelson Gallery, dedicated to the iconic naval hero, and learn about his greatest triumphs and crushing defeats.

Explosion Museum of Naval Firepower

With exciting exhibits, immersive recreations and authentic weaponry from all centuries, the museum is sure to brighten your day.
