The girl with the dragon tattoo actor Goran Visnjic joins the stacked cast Vikings: Valhalla‘s final season as an important character with ties to Lief and Freydis.
With the conflict between pagans and Christians looming in the background, Season 3 of the Netflix fantasy series continues to chronicle the final years of the Viking Age, focusing mainly on the lives and destinies of Leif Eriksson (Sam Corlett) and Freydís Eiríksdóttir. (Frida Gustavsson) and Harald Sigurdsson (Leo Suter).
Vikings: Valhalla Season 3 premiered on Netflix on July 11.

Sam Corlett – Leif Erikson
Sam Corlett is back to lead the cast Vikings: Valhalla Season 3: Leif Erikson, an intelligent and skilled Norwegian explorer, the son of Erik the Red and Freydis’ brother.
In the second season finale, Leif heads to Constantinople with Harald to raise funds for Harald’s growing army. The show’s second year episode ends with Leif, a changed man whose thirst for knowledge and science turned him into a full-fledged explorer.
After a seven-year time jump, the last season tells about Leif’s journey to the Golden Land, or the continent that will later be known as North America. After arriving in the Golden Land, Leif eventually becomes the first European to set foot on the American continent, beating Christopher Columbus by the millennium.

Frida Gustavsson – Freydis Eiriksdóttir
Frida Gustavsson reprises her role as Freydís Eiríksdóttir, Leif’s sister who helps him search for the Golden Land. He also serves as the ruler of Jomsborg at the end of season 2.
The reason Freydis joined his brother in searching for the Golden Land is because he was seeking refuge for his people after Magnus was poisoned. He is also known as the keeper of the faith.

Leo Suter – Harald Sigurdsson
Leo Suter is back as Harald Sigurdsson, the final king of Norway.
Harald’s journey to his rightful throne is chronicled Vikings: Valhalla season 3. He navigates through numerous betrayals, struggles to raise funds for his army, and even ends up assassinated by Emperor Romanos III.
Suter performed earlier in the year Sanditon, Cliqueand Liberator.
Florian Munteanu – George Maniakes
Florian Munteanu joins the world Vikings: Valhalla such as George Maniakes, a dangerous and cunning general of the Byzantine army who falls in with Harald.
Maniakes later betrays Harald by accusing him of murdering the emperor.
MCU fans may recognize Munteanu as he has portrayed Razor Fist in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. The actor also performed Creed II, Contractorand Rich.
Goran Višnjić – Erik Punainen
Goran Višnjić guest stars as Erik the Red, the ruthless father of Leif and Freydis, known to many as the founder of the first permanent European settlement in Greenland.
Erik Punainen appears in Season 3 Episode 5 when he betrays his daughter, who seeks refuge for her people after being poisoned in Jomborg.
Višnjić’s most famous role is that of Armansky The girl with the dragon tattoo. The actor also performed IS, Damnableand Beginners.
Bradley Freegard – King Canute
Bradley Freegard plays King Canute, the first Viking king of England and king of Norway and Denmark. His queen is Emma of Normandy.
King Canute ended his reign peacefully Vikings: Valhalla after dying due to his failing health.
Freegard’s significant merits include e.g Keeping the faith, Homeworkand Outback.
Laura Berlin – Queen Emma of Normandy
Laura Berlin’s Queen Emma of Normandy is the wife of King Canute, who did her best to support his legacy even after his death.
Queen Emma honored King Canute’s Viking age by giving him a proper Viking funeral and an official Christian burial for the King of England.
The Queen also clashes with Earl Godwin, pulling strings to manipulate who becomes King Canute’s potential successor to the throne.

David Oakes – Earl Godwin
David Oakes brings Earl Godwin to life in the season finale Vikings: Valhalla. An Earl in England is the third highest rank of the British nobility.
Earl Godwin acts as an advisor to King Canute and Queen Emma, but there is more to his story.
The second season finale revealed that Godwin is responsible for an assassination attempt against Queen Emma in order to infiltrate the royal family.
Before King Canute died of health problems, he told Godwin that he was aware of his sinful plans to join the royal family.
Based on the history books, Godwin’s plan worked when his son Harold II eventually became King of England.

Pollyanna McIntosh – Queen Ælfgifu
Pollyanna McIntosh appears as Queen Ælfgif, King Canute’s first wife and Queen of Denmark.
Queen Ælfgifu wants to keep the peace she promised Freydis after Magnus offered to retrieve his father’s body from Jomsborg. He knows things will take a dark turn if Magnus steps into Freydis’ territory.
Nevertheless, Magnus eventually kills Queen Ælfgifu as he begins his journey of revenge.
Walking Dead fans may recognize Pollyanna McIntosh from her role in the main Jada show and other sequels. The actor also acted Woman, Hap and Leonardand Double Blind.
Sofia Lebedeva – Eleana/Empress Zoe
Sofya Lebedeva plays Empress Zoeta (aka Eleana), Harald’s romantic interest who eventually becomes the wife of Emperor Romanos III.
Lebedeva has credits on Apple TV+ Tetris, Ivankaand Appellant.
Nikolai Kinski explained
Emperor Romanos III (played by Nikolai Kinski) is back as the stern but respected emperor of Byzantium. He was brutally murdered by George Maniakes in Season 3.
Kinski has more than 60 credits with roles Masters of Air, Barbariansand Nordic murders.
Place Sjöstrand – Magnus
Magnus is the son of Olaf Haraldsson, who has clear intentions to rule Norway. The character is played on screen by Set Sjöstrand.
To avenge Freydis for his father’s death in season two, Magnus poisoned the people of Jomsborg, resulting in many deaths.
Sjöstrand can be seen Machine, Bossand Treadstone.
Eoghan Francis Kiernan – Aki
Eoghain Francis Kiernan is part of the Season 3 Cast as Aki, Freydis’ sea captain, merchant and one of his allies in Jomborg.
Kiernan’s only notable acting performance is the role of Daniel Hello, goodbye.
Leander Vyvey – Stigg
Leander Vyvey is one of the new results Vikings: Valhalla Season 3. The actor plays Stigg, an expert fighter and healer who eventually becomes Freydis’ partner.
