In every scene together, one accused the other of talking over them. Also, Tiff raised red flags about Mildred marrying and divorcing someone she never loved. There were also disagreements expressed over the handling of the relationship between Tiff and Mildred’s 16-year-old disabled son. Perhaps the giant red flag was Tiff and Mildred’s near-weekly break-ups, leading to Mildred’s constant depiction of Tiff’s gaslighting, which was expanded upon in their heated reunion exchange.

In the reunion, it was revealed that Tiff and Mildred had not only broken off their engagement, but Mildred was arrested during a domestic dispute. Sam and Aussie’s rollercoaster ride continues Ultimatum: Queer Love culminated in a proposal and engagement for the season finale. The Aussie’s appearance in the series was a mistake, but it worked out for the couple in the end. Although the Aussie’s selfishness and stonewalling was completely inappropriate and Mildred confirmed during their trial marriage, their willingness to change was commendable. Some scenes were hard to watch as the Aussie dealt with unresolved childhood trauma, but Sam’s patience in those moments was incredible.

Sam and Aussie revealed that they were still together at the reunion, but Sam had yet to meet Aussie’s parents. When a couple is planning a wedding, they focus more on emotional healing and growth rather than setting up a date. However, along Netflix Tudum, the only Cast members from the show who are invited to the wedding are Tiff and Vanessa. Xander and Vanessa were the only couple who said no on the ultimatum day. Although Vanessa showed growth throughout the show, her father was wise to suggest that she didn’t want to marry Xander and that she just didn’t want to lose him. This observation proved true, and the two rightfully parted ways. Although Vanessa was initially cast as a villain, her red flags softened throughout the season, revealing someone who was still exploring her queer identity and just wasn’t ready for marriage yet, and maybe never would be.

Today, Vanessa and Xander are estranged, despite their sweet moments of reunion. Vanessa was single for a while he debuted his girlfriend on Instagram. He also moved to Los Angeles after filming.

Mali’s patience with Yoly finally ran out in the finale, and she accused Yoly of being a liar. When asked if the former couple were still friends, Mal curtly replied that she couldn’t be friends with someone who lied to her.

Yoly may have accidentally burned Mal while dealing with her own feelings on the show, but Mal is as understanding as ever. The best result of the show was the addition of a new lifelong friend, Lexi.

Yoly might have intended to stay single, but she didn’t for long. On Instagram, Yoly started sharing messages with his girlfriend Domenick in November 2023.

Domenick has been seen all over Yoly’s page these days and the pair look very much in love. Mal, on the other hand, seems focused on his friendships and appears to be single.

Only one of the five couples, Sam and Aussie, is still on the way to getting married. The rest have gone their separate ways. However, the improvement and growth shown by each actor was worth the trip. Divorced couples were not meant to get married, and many are now in therapy to deal with their past.

Fans can now look forward to the second season About Netflix’s hit reality show, as it is said to premiere in early 2025.
