It’s official: two London stadiums, Wembley and Tottenham Hotspur Stadiumare set to host thirteen games as part of the UEFA Euro 2028 tournament. They’re two of nine world-class football stadiums across eight cities in the UK and Ireland—including Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester and Liverpool.
After launching yesterday (Wednesday, November 12), the build-up to the Euros has officially begun. With more than three million match tickets availableit’s set to be the largest sporting event ever jointly staged by the co-host nations.
UEFA Euro 2028 begins at the National Stadium of Wales in Cardiff on Friday, June 9and reaches an exciting conclusion with the final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, July 9. Both semi-finals will also be hosted in Wembley 4-5 July.
The other host venues are Villa Park in Birmingham, Manchester City Stadium in Manchester, Everton Stadium in Liverpool, St James’ Park in Newcastle, Hampden Park in Glasgow and Dublin Arena in Dublin.
English FA CEO, Mark Bullingham says: “This will be a tournament for the fans, with their experience at the heart of our planning. We are excited for the Three Lions to have the opportunity to play matches around England, starting in Manchester.”

Who has qualified for the tournament?
No team has qualified for the UEFA Euro 2028 yet. The qualifying draw will take place in Belfast on Sunday, December 6, 2026. England, the Republic of Ireland, Scotland, and Wales will participate in the qualifying group stage. There are, however, two spots reserved for the best-ranked host nations that fail to qualify as group winners or among the eight best runners-up.

Where are the EURO 2028 round of 16 and quarter-final games being held?
Eight of the nine host stadiums – except Wembley – will stage a round of 16 fixture, with the four quarter-finals split across the hosts: Cardiff, Dublin, Glasgow and Wembley. To ensure sporting fairness and equal treatment, the round of 16 winners will play their quarter-final in a different venue.
