As an antidote to April’s price rises, TV chef and ‘sandwich king’ Max Halley is coming to Shoreditch next week to serve up his signature gourmet meals for an inflation-busting £1. The two-day pop-up will run from Wednesday 17th April to Thursday 18th April.

The founder of London’s legendary Max’s Sandwich Shop – a regular on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch and ITV’s Saturday Kitchen – has teamed up with mobile operator iD Mobile to offer breakfast and lunch deals based on the classic meal deal. Each comes with a filling sandwich, a side and a drink – all for just £1.

Visitors will be able to try a new menu created by Max, including The Morning Meat-ing (massive sausage, hot sauce, egg mayo, bacon crumble, mustard, onion), along with ketchup chips. There will also be Tikka Chance On Me (chicken tikka, pickled onion, mint, parsley, coriander, lime pickle mayo, mango chutney) along with curry powder.

Organizers say: “From mouth-watering breakfast and lunchtime sarnies to mouth-watering handmade chips, this event promises a culinary adventure like no other.” This is Max’s first ever daytime pop-up in East London.

The pop-up will be at Protein Studios, 31 New Inn Yard, London EC2A 3EY. It will run from 11am to 4pm on Wednesday 17 April and from 8am to 4pm on Thursday 18 April.
