We don’t want to jinx it and say it’s almost that time of the year but we will say that we’re about to expect some well-needed and well-deserved glorious weather in London starting today to all of next week!

London’s gorgeous sunny weather starts from today with temperature forecasts hitting 22C in the capital – warmer than well, Lisbon.

Meanwhile, Lisbon in Portugal is set to reach 17C – with rain expected.

The Met Office is forecasting 22C for London today (April 4, Friday) as we commence a sunny start to April.

Some parts of England are actually set to hit 24C, weather that would usually expect near July, the Met Office said.

But today, would make for the warmest day of the year in London so far.

Alex Deakin, Met Office forecaster said Friday temperatures said: “Generally speaking, the dry and the fine and the sunny weather will continue. In the south, Friday is likely to see the peak of the temperatures this week: 21, 22, it might even squeak up to 23C.”

The Met Office has put out an amber wildfire warning for parts of the UK for this weekend as well.

It started off covering most of England, but as of April 2, it’s been extended to include Northern Ireland and southern Scotland too.

Fire crews are asking everyone to be careful and do their bit to help prevent wildfires.

Kathryn Chalk, a Met Office meteorologistsaid: “With the warm, dry weather sticking around and some strong winds in the mix, there’s still a good chance we could see wildfire conditions over the next few days.”
