What happens at Plied and Prejudice?

Plied and Prejudice invites you to experience a rib-tickling retelling of a much-loved tale, fuelled by fantastically funny performances and a libation or two…or maybe three. If poetry is the food of love then this comedy show is a tall drink of laughter, inciting the giggles with shambolic dances, awkwardly ardent proposals and, of course, the crucial element of any period drama production, a wettest of wet t-shirt contest.

In what Mr Collins would call the most excellent thing since boiled potatoesthis is where party and performance combine forces to put on a fun-filled interactive show. Live actors unleash their transformative acting chops as they play a range of well-known characters, ranging from the scandalously impulsive Lydia to the graciously patient Jane. You’ll be immersed in the love story of Elizabeth Bennet and Mr Darcy, but with a tad less decorum than Regency society would deem acceptable. Ok, a lot less.

Fresh off a hugely successful run in Australia, Plied and Prejudice is sure to have you leaving with aching ribs and a giddy grin plastered on your face. The show has already proved a hit with Aussie audiences and now it’s your turn. You don’t need to be in possession of a good fortune to receive an invitation to the boozy ball, just call up your fellow Austen aficionados (or even Darcy-esque sceptics – they are sure to be won over) and grab your tickets today to enjoy a side-splitting evening this Spring.
