Fans of all ages will totally be in their element at F1® The Exhibition, opening in London’s ExCeL Centre on August 23.
Following on from major success in Spain and an incredible run in Vienna, this exhibition is an epic celebration of the sport’s past, present and future. You’ll feast your eyes on historic memorabilia, exclusive footage and iconic Formula 1® cars. Plus, you can enjoy a look behind the curtain at breakthrough technologies and get behind the wheel yourself in state-of-the-art simulators. It’s the perfect formula for an unforgettable experience.
What happens in the Formula 1 exhibition?
As the world’s most prestigious motor racing competition, with 74 years of rich history in its tank, Formula 1® is a treasure trove of heart-in-your-mouth moments, talented personalities and rare artefacts. It’s only natural there would be an exhibition to showcase it all for the fans who help make the sport what it is.
Formula 1® The Exhibition features six rooms, packed with extensive contributions from some of the greatest F1® teams and drivers in the world. Don your (metaphorical) goggles and lab coat as you step inside the Design Lab, where teams such as Mercedes AMG Petronas F1® and exhibition partner Pirellihave treated you to a precious glimpse at the pivotal elements and components used to create new cars for each season.
Buckle in for a trip down memory lane in the race circuit-inspired Drivers & Duels, featuring historic memorabilia, 100 iconic helmets, interactive games and the Hall of Fame. Brace for a rollercoaster of emotions as you come face-to-face with an emblem of survival: the charred wreckage of Romain Grosjean’s chassis from his 2020 crash in Bahrain. In collaboration with the Moneygram Haas F1® team, the room shines a light on driver and track safety, paying tribute to those who have sacrificed for the future safety of the sport.
Your journey will come to a climactic end in The Pit Wall. Cocooned in a spectacle of light and soundyou’ll be plunged into the cinematic story of Formula 1®, reliving some of the greatest moments of the sport. And this is all just a small taste of what you can expect – we don’t want to give away any spoilers after all, you’ll see plenty of those…
Formula 1® The Exhibition is pretty much heaven for fans. As well as a captivating mix of both historic and modern-day race cars, it shines a spotlight on iconic figures such as Enzo Ferrari and Ayrton Senna and the influences that fuelled their passion for the sport. With a wealth of success in previous countries, you do not want to miss your chance to witness the wonders here in London.
