The exhibition is one-of-a-kind, with over 60,000 entries by 3,581 photographersfrom 130 countries worldwide, and be sure to mark your calendars because it’s only in the capital for a limited time.

Capturing the stories that matter…

This year, the exhibition has chosen Borough Yards as the location, a beloved cultural destination at the epicentre of the city’s creative scene in London Bridge. Nestled underneath the gorgeous Victorian railway arches, it’ll only be a stone-throw away from the Tate Modern, so you could make a day of it!

The World Press Photo Foundation was founded back in 1955, and has continued to grow each year, reaching millions thanks to their annual photo competition. The exhibition travels to over 60 cities, in more than 40 countries worldwide, and London is lucky enough to be one of them, once again.

The London Exhibition Director, Woody Anderson, commented “In the realm of visual storytellingWorld Press Photo stands at the forefront of its art, beckoning its audience into the reality inhabited by the subjects in each image.”

“The exhibition not only sparks emotion, it also kindles a collective consciousness, whilst vividly illuminating the most paramount news stories of our time. The exhibition’s prolonged absence from the capital has been a significant omission from the city’s cultural calendar.”
