In a first of its kind headline DJ performance in the historic locale of Greenwichindependent UK event promoter and producer Labyrinth has announced plans to host a six-day open-air live music series, ‘Labyrinth on the Thames,’ at the Old Royal Naval College in London.

The show series is scheduled to take place across the first two weekends in August at the UNESCO World Heritage site – where the event is expected to attract around 60,000 attendees for a line-up of some of the best and most established dance music acts.

This incudes the legendary GRAMMY Award-winning South African DJ – Black Coffee.

“As someone of South African heritage myself, it brings me great joy to announce Black Coffee as the first show at this breathtaking location,” founder of Labryinth Nick Castleman said in a statement. “Black Coffee’s story and achievements throughout his illustrious career are forever inspiring and we couldn’t dream up a more fitting act to launch the venue with.”

The Friday, 1st August, will see his performance, under the banner of ‘Black Coffee On The Thames.’ Which will be followed by five more parties over that weekend and the next. ‘Black Coffee On the Thames‘ will see the South African talent not only perform his only appearance in London this summer but also a line-up curated by the man himself with custom production, as he transforms the iconic riverside location.

The events’ audio-visual elements will be crafted by High Screamrenowned for its work on the Paris 2024 Olympics Closing Ceremony, Madison Square Garden, and Coachella with the intention of celebrating the architectural beauty of the iconic heritage site while ’embracing London’s vibrant culture.’

Prepare to be wowed by Black Coffee’s innovative blend of house, soul, and traditional African rhythms. His genre-defying sound, along with collaborations with artists like Pharrell Williams, David Guetta, Drake, and Jorja Smithearned him the title of World’s Best DJ of 2024.
