If you’re preparing to cheer for England as they take on Slovakia this weekend, you’re probably wondering where you’re going to watch the Euros action play out. And a handful of London pubs are making a strong case for being the best places for it, thanks to what might just be the cheapest pints in all of London. That’s because three London pubs are serving up half-price pints before and during the game. But there’s a catch: The half-price pints will only last until England scores. (And that might not happen too soon based on the last match…)
With England set to face off against Slovakia this Saturday (June 29) from 5pm onwards, three pubs in the middle of London are slashing prices. Those pubs are the Fleets in St Pauls, Nest in Bishopsgate, and Punch Tavern on Fleet Street. For one day only, the sites (part of the Urban Pubs & Bars group) are offering a whopping 50% off all beers from 4pm until the England team knocks one into the back of the net.
Yup, they’re being extra generous and starting the promotion an hour before the football even starts! That means punters can enjoy pints for a piddling £3.50. Now if that isn’t one of the best beer deals in London – I don’t know what is.
As much as you may be cheering for England – your bank account will be hoping they don’t score at all! Or at the very least, you’ll be hoping they cinch a victory with a last-minute goal, allowing you a full match’s worth of half-price pints.
We’ve got our fingers crossed that England emerges victorious from the match – and that maybe the promotion might be extended to the next England match! Who knows? We might get lucky! In more ways than one.
