If paying a visit to one of Europe’s most haunted villages isn’t quite thrilling enough for you this Halloween, you’re in luck – Airbnb has revealed its creepiest stays from across the world, and these locations are sure to offer some pretty nightmarish nights. 

From a passage that was used to try and assassinate Elizabeth I in the UK to a nineteenth-century manor equipped with paranormal detectors in the US, these are some seriously ghoulish stays. Book if you dare – and blast some legendary Halloween songs while you’re there.

The Haunted Bedroom at Talliston, England

The bedroom at this House and Gardens in Great Dunmow eerily mirrors the haunting spirit of a child’s Edwardian bedroom.

Laura’s Cottage, US

Savannah, Georgia is an area notoriously linked with paranormal sightings. Stay at Laura’s Cottage at your own risk – the historic, eighteenth-century district makes for a ghostly getaway.

Linville Manor, US

The nights truly are haunted at this Maryland Manor. Ghosts are pretty much guaranteed by the hosts, so you better get your detection gear together for an overnight stay at this place.

Ross Castle, Ireland

An old Norman keep perched an hour down the road from Dublin, this Irish fortress is allegedly home to a forlorn spirit who was drowned in a nearby lake.

Riber Hall Manor, England

This haunting house, which dates all the way back to the 1400s, contains a passage that connects it to the home of a nobleman who allegedly attempted to assassinate Queen Elizabeth I.
