Yesterday evening, the lanes of the lanes opened its doors to Brighton and Hove’s eateries, where a happy crowd celebrates the annual Brighton’s best restaurants.

Founded in 2016 and food journalists Andy Lynes and Patrick McGuiga and Restaurant PR/Copywriter Suzanne Lindfors, and from local experts voted to Gourmand and productive Brighton to Brighton, it is one of the food of the year.

“Our independent plays a huge role in making Brighton a lively place that is, and we throw these prizes every year to strengthen the good things that happen at the local dining place,” Lindfors said.

“Although we name the winners and put together the top 30 lists, we take our hat for anyone who is currently working in hospitality, which are very much on the surface of some major industry challenges. Supporting all independent companies around the city is currently so important. We really want to keep Brighton unique and exciting for residents and visitors.”

Listen! So what are the best restaurants to eat this year?

The best restaurant

Here we go… Dave Mothersill’s relaxed fine dining room Furna Sniped 2025’s best restaurant prize. This will not come as a surprise to anyone who has eaten there because Furna constantly delivers food that tastes as great as they look.

And the restaurant is easier to reach than ever because they now offer La carte and set lunch menu and their magnificent tasting menu.

Mothersill was also one of the winners of this year’s best chef prize-once in a row and his restaurant also won in a fine category.

As a change from previous years, Brighton’s best restaurant gangs no longer reveal the order of restaurants, which means that there are several winners in each class.

The best of fine dining

So Furna joined small fish markets (technically brilliant seafood), a series (waiting for unexpected dishes that never delight), Dilsk (ingenious foods shine here when laminated brioche is particularly swoon) and looking for (high-end seasonal tasting menus and very cool Basement) in the best category.

The best new opening

Cozy Spanish Restaurant Amari, Stylish Living Bar with Southeast Asian menu No No thanks and Super-Sirinen newcomer Pearly Cow, where Brighton’s Andrew Mackenzie is heading to the kitchen, horrified to open the best.

The best boss

Duncan ray from small fish market and series Dan Kenny took the best chef Award with Furna’s Dave MotherSill.

The best small plates

Stylish Hove -wine bar and restaurant fourth and church, no thanks (again!), Flint house (those blue cheese!), Buzzy Creative Eater Med and Voya with a small but perfectly formed instant classic menu won the best small plates.

Best Sunday lunch

Alberta is in the windmill (proven that stinging the whole chicken really makes incredible sharing of toast), a whirlwind (can you stop four beasts?) And the carbon (luxurious Sunday baking in a magnificent environment) won this fever’s controversial category.

The best international dining

Preston Street’s budget-friendly Japanese BBQ expert Bincho Yakatori joined a modern Indian Brasserie (now in beautiful new lanes) Chilli-salt cucumber, a small Buzzy South American restaurant Palmito, a new modern Spanish eateries Amari (Jochel’s Michel Guide East Africa and Jochel’s East Levu restaurant.

Best Lokuubest menu

Not only is it pleasant in the spring of 2024, but they all went to last year’s brilliantly with a memorable October offer – reserving a ‘passengers’ on the flight’ no no air that contains food, drinks and entertainment ‘Pilot’ (ie owner) Euan MacDonald. Intelligent, memorable and most importantly, tasty.

Do you have dinner plans to make? Well, here’s a complete list of the winners below (alphabetically and not in order of earnings) with your inheritance. It is a perfect example of the ever -growing depth and width of the city’s dining world.

We challenge you to work through all of them before the end of 2025! As ever, all the top 30 (plus a few wild card invitations) will be invited to participate in an incredible October later this year. Keep an eye out for all the great, large menu menus from all of them. Bon Appétit!
