In today’s episode of ‘places to go when you need to escape the capital’s chaos and inhale some actual fresh air for the first time in months’, we have Home Farm Glamping. Now, I know what you city-folk are thinking. Anywhere with the words ‘farm’ and ‘glamping’ stated proudly in the name is bound to be a world away from our concrete-y capital, right? Wrong. This jaw-droppingly gorgeous glamping spot is actually just a hop, skip, and a jump ride on the Jubilee Line from London. Who’d have thought it?

Nestled within the Hertfordshire countryside, Home Farm Glamping is set amongst 150 acres of countryside. Boasting beautiful backdrops, sweeping meadows, rolling fields, and a picture-perfect lake; it’s pretty difficult to believe you’re just an hour from central London. But low and behold, this blissful retreat gives us city-dwellers the perfect opportunity to embrace the great outdoors, without having to leave our trusty transport network. Just how we like it.

The glamping experience at Home Farm Glamping

The lovely lot at Home Farm Glamping have taken the whole camping thing and made it – well… desirable. Providing everything you’ll need for your stay, they’ve actually managed to make the thought of sleeping in a tent seem rather enjoyable. Whether you opt for a dreamy yurt or a cosy bell tentyou’ll be treated to an actual bed (complete with a duvet and everything), and access to the luxurious likes of hot showers, flushing toilets, hair dryer sockets, and complimentary tea and coffee. There’s also a big old barn with fridges, hobs, hot water, and dining tables.

All accommodation options come with outdoor seating and a barbecue. So you can dine under the stars, and soak up some well-needed peace and quiet as you do so. An ideal location to relax, recharge and remind yourself that it’s not entirely necessary to walk at 40mph everywhere you go, Home Farm Camping is perfect for families, friendship groups, and everything in between.

During the summer monthsthere’s a whole host of activities to get stuck in to. From outdoor yoga and wholesome painting to sitting around the festoon-lined firepit, strolling Aldenham House’s historic parkland, or attending their Magic Meadows family festival; there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
