The Golden Bachelor star Gerry Turner isn’t the prince everyone thought he was – he’s more like a scary monster from a Grimm’s fairy tale, and he really took Theresa Nist for a ride. On the surface, this wolf in sheep’s clothing seemed nice enough. Gerry was well-groomed and personable, with a poignant backstory that touched the heart. However, when all was said and done, Gerry misrepresented himself and betrayed Theresa.
Theresa wanted a knight in shining armor – she got a man who taunted her after their breakup by dressing up “Indiana: It’s Not That Bad!” t-shirt. At first he excited her with tall tales. Now he knows who he really is. She trusted him, believing his words, but he didn’t really show his love. Yes, he married her, probably for the fame, but he didn’t move for her. A great romantic and a lonely widow, Gerry could not give his whole heart. However, he pretended while the cameras were rolling.

Once Gerry seemed so innocent and sweet. He lost his beloved wife Toni and told the world that he remained single after that until the fateful day when he decided to throw in the hat The Golden Bachelor calling, trying to find love again. It seemed so romantic – a man who needed so much time to heal after his wife died seemed like a loving person and a good romantic perspective. However, Gerry seemed to embellish his backstory, possibly to look good.
He certainly hadn’t been single all along. Gerry apparently had an affair the same year his wife died – 2017. He was reportedly dating a woman named Carolyn (he used a fake first name to protect his privacy when speaking The Hollywood Reporter). During that chat she said she was with Gerry for three years. Carolyn spoke to that publication about her date with Gerry and said she lived with him for well over a year. Meanwhile, she presented her widow photo for the show and said Entertainment Weekly:
“I haven’t dated in 45 years.”
It looked like Gerry The Golden Bachelor The experience was mainly to tell the world what a great guy he was. As a Leo man, he is a natural showboat – attention is irresistible to Leos. Therefore, Gerry could have teased about certain aspects of his past to look better in public. If he was playing a role all the time, just to bask in the spotlight, he really was a “wolf in sheep’s clothing.”

He didn’t seem to take the resignation seriously
Gerry and Theresa broke up – neither wanting to move for the other. However, since Gerry tried to paint himself as the ultimate gentleman and romantic, it seems like he should have made a sacrifice. Instead, he stayed in Indiana and even mocked his ex with an “Indiana, It’s Not That Bad” t-shirt. Gerry added her mocking message on Instagram, clearly excited to model the fun top for her followers. Of course, he posed with the ladies just to give his Instagram post a little more “revenge energy.”
What was Gerry really trying to say here? That Theresa made a mistake not moving there? Maybe, but by laughing at the situation, he seemed to be making a wise choice. Someone who had truly loved him at one point would probably never do such a thing.
When Theresa saw it, it probably stung. Yes, it makes sense that neither senior wanted to leave their friends and relatives with their new partner. However, Theresa didn’t rub her post-crack “happiness” in his face the way Gerry rubs his in his face. He seems like an attention seeker. Therefore, it is possible that Gerry will be cancelled.

Yes, he is now trashed with haters sacrificing for his blood, but in the end Gerry seemed to have one goal in mind – fame. Appearing on the show and getting so much publicity after breaking up with Theresa, he became quite a famous person. Gerry, Theresa and their problems are constantly in the headlines. There is curiosity about what will happen to them now that they are single.
If weight was Gerry’s goal, he achieved it. He might not even care to play a villain now – maybe this role is more suited to who he really is. He might feel like he can take off the mask and be himself after too long of a tiresome Prince act. Now that Gerry is a wolf in sheep’s clothing, he can roam the world in search of new prey. Whether it’s women, fame or money, Gerry has options.

He may present a stronger, fiercer image that he may feel is more masculine. Gerry will never be considered an angel again, and that may be just that The Golden Bachelor the star wants it.
