Here’s the thing about hosting a fireworks festival at a believed London venue that sits on a 196-acre parkland space overlooking London: it just works! It would do so with the fireworks alone, in fact, but Ally Pally isn’t shortchanging anyone with just that at their festival are they? They’ll be back with the usual array of food, music, games, and bright sparks for another year of celebration this winter.
Alexandra Palace has just announced the return of their yearly bonanza, which will take place across two nights on November 1-2 so practice your best ‘oooh’ and ‘ahhh’ before pottering over to the bonfire to get warmed up. They’re not billed as the ‘Glastonbury of fireworks displays’ for nothing, so you better snap up a ticket to ensure your spot sooner rather than later!

You’ll want to know about the brand new drone showwhich will arrive ahead of the fireworks this year and light up the sky in a unique way before the old classic, colourful, and crackling method of capturing the public’s attention takes charge. It’s another addition to the colourful Ally Pally Fireworks Festival and is sure to be a further enticing reason to attend.
Vistors can also expect the return of Pally’s Coffeewhich always promises a party of live music and singalongs with the live brass band. You’ll also be treated to a selection of street food, cocktail, and craft beer options at StrEATlife, which is this year soundtracked by The Cuban Brothers on November 1and legendary UK Garage duo Artful Dodger on November 2.
What else is on offer at the Ally Pally fireworks festival?
If you’re feeling a touch of outdoor chill, firework festivalgoers can stretch those quads and make a beeline towards the indoor ice tink which includes the ice disco for those in the mood to pirouette to some Pitbull or skate to some Sonic Youth*.
Over in the Great Hall (where you’re probably used to catching headline shows at all year round), you’ll also find the return of the UK’s largest German Bier festival, which is rather topically headlined by Oasis tribute act Definitely Mightbe on November 1. If you’re still not feeling so supersonic at missing out on tickets, then you can catch the tunes here anyway – and if you’re not an Oasis fan then the following nights ABBA Revival are the tribute band for you.
