Due to phenomenal public demand, the Formula 1® Exhibition at Excel London (Immerse LDN) is extending its residency to March 2, 2025.

Following the hugely successful show opening on August 23, motorsport fans now have more time to experience the past, present and future of Formula 1® in the heart of the capital.

Packed with extensive contributions from F1®’s greatest teams and drivers, including Sir Lewis Hamilton’s 2018 Championship-winning Mercedes AMG F1 W09 and Ayrton Senna’s 1988 McLaren MP4/4, the exhibition highlights some of the sport’s greatest stories.

Having launched to overwhelmingly positive reviews from UK visitors, the London iteration has been the biggest production of The F1® Exhibition show to date.

It holds the most cars seen at any of the previous F1® Exhibitions, including Lewis Hamilton’s iconic 2018 Championship-winning Mercedes AMG F1 W09, Max Verstappen’s 2021 Championship-winning RB16b, Ayrton Senna’s 1988 title-winning McLaren MP4/4, Mika Häkkinen’s 1999 World Driver’s Championship-winning McLaren MP4/14, and more.

In a European first, it also features state-of-the-art simulators, allowing fans to experience how it feels to sit in an F1® car and a chance to win tickets for the 2025 British Grand Prix™.

So it’s no surprise the Telegraph said ‘the immersive exhibition will entertain petrol-heads and novices alike’, while the Mirror praised the ‘ingenuity behind the exhibition’s layout, soundscapes and visual elements’ and Secret London hailed it ‘a true spectacle of grit and glamour’.

Unique perspective on an extraordinary story

The exhibition comes to life across six unique rooms, each specially commissioned for the show and produced in partnership with award-winning curators, artists, and filmmakers.

It starts with Once Upon a Time in Formula 1®, which celebrates British racing history with support from the Silverstone Museum.

In the Design Lab, contributions from major teams like Williams Racing and McLaren showcase the precision engineering of F1®.

The Drivers & Duels section highlights champions through interactive games, and Revolution by Design explores how technology drives F1®’s future, featuring cars like Senna’s McLaren MP4/4.

Survival pays homage to safety advances with the haunting remains of Romain Grosjean’s 2020 crash.

The exhibition culminates with the Pit Wall, an immersive finale celebrating 74 years of F1®’s remarkable legacy. It leaves fans in awe of the sport’s rich history and technological progress.

‘It’s a privilege to extend our run’

Timothy Harvey, Lead Curator and Producer of The Formula 1® Exhibition, said: “We are delighted with the popularity of the Formula 1 Exhibition in London and it’s a privilege to extend our run at the Excel.

“As we enter an exciting climax to the 2024 F1® season, we look forward to welcoming more fans during the off-season, Christmas and New Year period to get their Formula 1® fix before all of the on-track action starts again in 2025.”
