Sister wives season 19 recently premiered, and one of the big storylines of the season is about the abusive relationship between Robyn Brown’s children and the rest of the Brown family. 45-year-old Robyn was the fourth wife of 55-year-old polygamous patriarch Kody Brown. When he joined the Brown family, Kody was already married to Meri Brown, Janelle Brown, and Christine Brown and had 12 children. In 2010, Robyn and her three children from her first marriage were added to the Brown family mix.

When the Brown family stopped growing, Kody had four wives and 18 children, but the good times didn’t last. When Sister wives season 19 premiered a few weeks ago, Kody’s first three wives had left the extended familyleaving Kody and Robyn in an unwitting monogamous marriage. With the family so divided, Robyn feels that her children have fallen behind their other siblings. Read on to learn more about how Robyn’s kids felt snubbed by other browns.

Kody adopted Dayton, Aurora and Breanna

He gave them his name

Kody adopted Robyn’s children from his first marriage in 2014 and even gave them his last name. Although efforts were made to help Aurora, Breanta and their older brother Dayton Brown bond, Robyn’s children never really felt accepted By other children in my home. Although they shared the same last name, they were not the same.

Part of the reason they never committed to each other was that all the other brown kids grew up togethermany of them under one roof. Robyn’s children came into the picture later, so they didn’t share the same experiences. To make matters worse, Kody’s other children resented all the time Kody spent with his new family.

Aurora and Breanna felt overwhelmed

Rejected by their siblings

during a Sister wives in the season 19 episode, Aurora and Breanna discuss their strained relationships with the rest of the Brown family. Breanna made the shocking claim that on more than one occasion several members of Brown’s family told him that they did not see him as a real sibling. Aurora continued to complain that she didn’t think the parents worked hard enough to bring the children together.

What do Kody and Robyn’s other kids think?

Separation anxiety

The 24-year-old Dayton has yet to speak, so it’s unclear what his thoughts are on the matter. Kody and Robyn eventually had two children of their own12-year-old Solomon Brown and 8-year-old Ariella Brown. Like Dayton, Aurora and Breanna, Solomon and Ariella have little contact with their brown siblings.

Some of their problems stem from the generation gap.

Some of the oldest of Kody’s 18 children are in their 30s, and some are even married with children of their own, so they don’t have much in common with their youngest siblings. During a recent episode Sister wivesit was revealed that Ariella’s extreme separation anxiety as a young child greatly affected the family dynamic. Apparently, Ariella freaked out whenever Kody had to go hang out with the rest of the family.
