Brentford will say goodbye to a new festival when Syon Park is transformed into Sicily next weekend. Marzamemi Fest is a celebration of Italian food, drink, music and crafts taking place in West London on Saturday 6th July and Sunday 7th July.

Colorful sun loungers, festoon lights and traditional tiled floors will transform the grounds from a stately home to a quaint coastal town. Some of London’s most popular Italian restaurants, including Belgravia’s Enoteca Turi and Holborn’s Arancino in Sicily, offer fresh pasta, gnocchi, risotto, cannoli and tiramisu.

Iconic London delicatessen Lina Stores also serves fresh meats, cheeses, antipastos and sauces. Other food offerings include pizza from Crosta & Mollica and Napoli on the Road, piadinas and panelle from Sicilia Fredda and fresh oysters from The Oyster Society.

There will be the opportunity to participate in cooking demonstrations and workshops, with Instagram-famous chef Francecso Mattana and tomato experts Mutti holding various master classes. The drinks will be flowing thanks to Malfy Gin, The Emmissiary Prosecco, NIO Cocktails, Franco’s Frose and Etna Coffee.

BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Emily Rawson and Capital XTRA’s Kamillah Rose provide the tracks, with additional sets from Super K, Fabienne, Matchstick and many more. The Italian group Amore will also perform romantic serenades and jazz ballads.

The fun doesn’t stop there as there will be tents selling clothing, accessories, art, furniture, kitchenware and artisanal food and drink. Children are more than welcome and will be entertained with a silent cinema and disco, inflatables, yoga, dress-up tents, football drills, mini beach and face painting.

Organizers, Richmond residents of 10 years with Italian heritage, say they are also looking to open a food and beverage business in the neighborhood. Doors are open from 10am to 10pm on Saturdays and 10am to 8pm on Sundays. Adult tickets start at £27.33 and are available here.
