Believe it or not, it’s been more than 12 years since The Inbetweeners burst onto our television screens!

The Channel 4 cult comedy brought us the humor and crude banter between four sixth form students: Simon Cooper (Joe Thomas), Neil Sutherland (Blake Harrison), Jay Cartwright (James Buckley) and suburban teenager Will MacKenzie (Simon Bird).

But there’s one supporting star who doesn’t always get enough credit — and he’s also undergone a huge transformation.

Cue Rudge Park Comprehensive outcast Big John, who you’ll remember as one of the first students nerdy Will met on his first day at his new city school.

Actor John Seaward played the nerdy and somewhat unsanitary teenager Big John Webster who offered to be Will’s buddy before he met his other three “pathetic” pals.

John makes up one third of the group of “freaks” that also includes David and Susie, and he has a pretty good knack for eating two yogurts at once.

He even manages to alienate fellow students by doing things like sniffing his own armpit.

Now in 2020, John Seaward looks unrecognizable from his Inbetweeners days.

The character appeared in all three series of the Channel 4 sitcom and also featured in The Inbetweeners Movie in 2011.

The 32-year-old actor has evolved from his schoolboy performance, and in 2017 he underwent a massive transformation when he played Michael Gove in the BBC’s Theresa Vs. Boris: How May Became PM.

He also portrayed Roland Totheroh in the film Doctor for Mr Chaplin (2016) and the character of Christopher in the short film Spectrum (2016).
