Up on the 40th floor of the Heron Tower, you’ll find Duck & Waffle; a restaurant with a hype as high as the building itself – for good reason. Step inside the iconic glass lift and allow yourself to be whizzed up to the highest 24-hour restaurant in the city, where the only thing that rivals the delicious food is the (possibly even more delicious) view of London’s skyline.
The best part? It’s one of the very few spots in the city which is – quite literally- always open. So whether you’ve not yet gone to bed, or you’re up at the crack quack of dawn; Duck & Waffle will sort you right out, all hours of the day and night.
The food
The self-described ‘gastro-diner’ serves up breakfast, lunch, dinner, weekend brunch and a Sunday roast – all to the highest standard. They also offer a late-night menu between midnight and 5.30am (but more on that later).
Each menu is jam-packed with luxurious twists on classic comfort food; boasting a huge selection of mouth-watering British and European dishes. Their signature dish is (you guessed it) the duck & waffle – crispy duck leg confit and a fried duck egg served on a deliciously fluffy waffle – and is available across every menu, all day and all night.
The late night menu
If you find yourself roaming the capital city in the middle of the night, in need of a midnight snack – fear not! Duck & Waffle have created a the perfect late night menu to satisfy those late night cravings. They’ve got the likes of duck sliders, duck katsu, duck shawarma, and even a spicy ox cheek doughnut – just to name a few.
Finish off the ultimate midnight feast with one of their scrumptious late night desserts. We’re talking lemon meringue waffle, salted caramel tart, or ‘The Full Elvis’ – a wildly decadent waffle with PBJ, caramelised banana, Chantilly, and all the trimmings. Yum.
Duck & Waffle also boasts a bloomin’ gorgeous bar, that serves up some killer cocktails and yummy bar bites. The perfect place to sit and watch the city fall asleep.
