Tesco has issued a last-minute warning to customers that the deadline to sign up for a Delivery Saver plan is fast approaching. The supermarket giant has said that shoppers who take advantage of the saver deal can gain early access to online Christmas slots this year.
You have until 11:59pm tonight to sign up here and secure early access to online slots for the festive period. Slots will open for all Delivery Saver Anytime and Delivery Saver Click+Collect customers at 6am tomorrow – giving them a week’s head start on other customers who can Book from November 12 at 6am.
Tesco has promised thousands of extra slots this year in the two weeks leading up to Christmas compared with last year, thanks to the addition of 60 more delivery vans to its fleet.
What is the Delivery Saver plan?
The store’s Delivery Saver is a subscription-based delivery service designed to help reduce the cost of regular online grocery orders, with plans starting as low as £2.49 a month.
Orders are then either delivered to your door or available through the Click+Collect service at selected stores. Clubcard vouchers can be converted into reward tokens that can then be used as payment for a Delivery Saver subscription.
Tesco is ramping up its rapid delivery service, Whoosh, to offer thousands more slots on Christmas Eve, ensuring last-minute shoppers can get their hands on festive essentials, reports Wales Online.
Tom Denyard, managing director of Tesco Online, said: “As we help customers plan ahead for their Christmas shop this year, we want customers to know that time is running out to sign up for a Delivery Saver Anytime Plan and benefit from festive priority slot bookings which go live tomorrow morning.
“We’re looking forward to helping customers across the UK pick up their family favourites or treat themselves to something special this festive season. We are also excited to be providing increased capacity with thousands of extra slots available in the fortnight leading up to Christmas Day.
“And there is no better time to sign up to a convenient Delivery Saver plan and benefit from festive priority slot bookings.”
