1000-lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton has gone through several terrible fashion choices before and after her dramatic weight loss transformation. Tammy is 37 years old from Dixon, Kentucky and was a popular YouTuber who created videos with her sister Amy Slaton before they became reality TV stars. Tammy and Amy’s combined weight exceeded 1000 kilos at one time. Tammy had been his heaviest at 725 lbs. He did not exercise and refused to eat healthy food. She was unaware of the damage she was doing to her body until a serious medical emergency became her wake-up call.

In January 2022 Tammy posted a disturbing selfie on Instagram that went viral for all the wrong reasons. The alarming message showed Tammy looking at the camera with a tube attached to her throat. The photo had no context or caption, and fans began sharing messages of support for Tammy and prayers for her to get the health help she needs. The fans’ eyes also caught Tammy wearing it. She had pulled her hair back into a messy bun and the black t-shirt featured skeletons with a chest covered in dry leaves on the front.

Tammy had previously raised the alarm by sharing pictures of herself from a hospital bed. The reason for that was revealed a year later in the 1000-Lb Sisters season 4 teaser. Tammy had been hospitalized after stopping breathing. Tammy’s body had passed out and she underwent a tracheotomy, where a hole was created in her throat to insert a breathing tube to help Tammy breathe. Tammy started posting videos lip syncing to various trending songs.
