“However, according to our research, the core market demand for co-living currently stands at 725,000 and is set to significantly increase, with our research estimating that the total co-living market collectively stands at 1.5 million people in the UK.

“Additionally, between 2015-2020, there were applications for 10,520 new co-living beds to be built in the UK; however, in the past three years alone, applications for a further 12,150 beds have been submitted, and a total of 24,000 co-living apartments are in the pipeline, which indicates a growing appetite from investors, developers, lenders, and tenants.”
