Maria was eliminated at the final Standard Tribal Council

During the first immunity challenge, Maria knew she had to win if she was going to advance further in the game. After Maria was blinded during Survivor 46 episode 12, when his ally Q Burdette was sent home at tribal council, he had to pick up the pieces of his alliance with Charlie and try to rebuild. With the rest of the tribe against her, Maria knew that the immunity challenge was do-or-die for her game. Unfortunately, Maria was unable to beat Kenzie, who was helped by Liz at the end of the challenge.


Although she figured the rest of the tribe would vote her out at their final regular tribal council, Maria did her best to get the votes against Ben so she could continue the game. Maria explained to Kenzie and Liz that she has known Ben throughout the game and has not trusted him at all. He tried to mold Ben into a low-key player who would be able to sway the jury at the end of the day. Still, the rest of the tribe knew they couldn’t win the game against Maria and voted her out Survivor.

In the final immunity challenge, it was clear that the losers were struggling after living on the island of Fiji for over three weeks after little food and little rest. Ben, who has struggled with night terrors and anxiety throughout the competition, was able to hone his game and focus enough to win the immunity challenge. Ben’s victory guaranteed him a place in the final 3, but his win came by major decision. Ben would have to choose who would go on to the fire making competition and which thrower would sit next to him in the finals.

While Ben struggled with his decision on the other hand, he was sure Liz was going to make a fire. However, it was hard for Kenzie and Charlie to choose between Ben. As Ben’s two closest allies in the game, Charlie and Kenzie have helped him in different areas of the competition. Even though Kenzie has been helping Ben emotionally all along, Ben felt he had to honor his first day alliance with Charlie and sent Kenzie to make fire with Liz. Although Kenzie’s confidence in starting a fire wavered, she finally managed to start a fire that made its way up. and beat Liz.

The final 3 met with a panel of judges consisting of Liz, Maria, Q, Venus Vafa, Tiffany Ervin, Hunter McKnight, Soda Thompson and Tevin Davis who quizzed them on all aspects of the game. Meanwhile The jury still had some misconceptions about how to play in the final days of camp, the final 3 were able to clear things up for them and make a case for why they deserved the game. Although Kenzie, Charlie and Ben all gave convincing arguments as to why they should win, it was up to the jury to make a decision.


Each finalist was given thirty seconds to make their case, but the judges’ questions were likely the biggest factor in determining the winner. All the pitchers played their hardest all season, but in the end the decision was left to the jury. When the votes were counted, Kenzie won Survivor 46 5 votes for Kenzie and 3 for Charlie. Although it looked like it might be a tie, Kenzie won the top prize.
