Amazon shoppers are snapping up a ‘superb’ Nescafe coffee machine with thousands of five star reviews as it has £71 knocked off the price. The DeLonghi Nescafé Dolce Gusto Infinissima Pod Capsule Coffee Machine was originally selling for £109.99, but has been knocked down to £39 in a sale.
This deal is also active on Currys (£39.99) and Robert Dyas (£39.99). Argos are selling it for £40. The machine comes in three separate colours – white and black, red and black, and black and charcoal – and comes with a 1.2 litre tank.
This is 400ml bigger than the XS version, which is also on sale for £29 (down from £79.99) on Amazon and £30 on Argos. The smaller version also has a wattage of 1600 compared to 1470 from the bigger ones. This means it costs 46p per hour to run compared to 43p per hour, according to energy calculator sust-it.

The bigger version allows for 40 different coffees, including hot and cold versions. There’s also a 15 bar pump pressure. The machine is filled up using pods – these Nescafe Dolce Gusto pods are Podback members, allowing them to be recycled.
You can pick four boxes over over 20+ blends on Amazon for £21.99 (£5.50 a box) or a three pack (48 capsules) of Flat White for £8.94 (£2.98 a box, or £3.31 without a subscription). Alternatively, Ocado sell them in packs of 16 for £3.31.
The DeLongi Coffee Machine has a 4.5 out of 5,533 reviews, with 3983 of them five star. One person titled their review ‘Superb!!!” and wrote: “Easy to use. Pleasant to look at. Makes amazing coffee. What’s more to say.” Another added: “Second Dolce Gusto machine that I’ve bought, convenient with a small footprint on the worktop. Most of all makes a great cup of coffee/chocolate or even Horlicks, thank you very much.”
A third remarked: “Been using this machine for quite a while, and considering the price I paid, below 40€, it complies with the specifications. Take in consideration though that it is not automatic, you have to keep refilling the water container as its quite small, and the machine is very noisy. Other than that, for my small room, fits perfectly where I intended to place it. Before buying, research capsules and coffee tastes as well, as after a while drinking the same you might want to drink “real” or different coffee flavours and not the capsules you originally bought.”

However, a less pleased shopper wrote: “This unit features a couple of design flaws. 1. The water container is oddly shaped, making it difficult to hold, fill, and reposition on the machine – it was designed with aesthetics in mind rather than pragmatism. 2. After use, the pods are sometimes difficult to extract. This is because the mechanism that punctures the top of the pod sometimes snags preventing the pod caddy from sliding out.” Another added: “Good value for an entry level machine. You get what you pay for – not automatic, you have to wait by the machine to avoid over filling cup. Good size if you are limited for space. Temperature of drink not very good. The manufacturer suggested warming the cup up first and not putting cold water straight from the tap. Not helpful as you want the machine to heat up the coffee accordingly.”
Elsewhere, the Tassimo Bosch 1500W, 1.3 litre machine has been slashed to just £89 on Amazon and £80 on Argos. It has a great 4.7 of 5 stars on Amazon 2,228 e, and the full 5 stars in terms of customer satisfaction. It comes in four colours: black, cream, red, and white.
