Like the expected release of Ubisoft Star Wars Outlaws Gamers looking for a free way to try out the game on Xbox, PC, or PS5 have a few options.

Star Wars Outlaws is Ubisoft’s first foray into a galaxy far, far away and follows the grand adventures of up-and-coming outlaw Kay Vess and her companions Nix and ND-5. The game is an open world adventure that allows fans to fulfill their dreams of being villains in the Star Wars galaxy.

Ubisoft’s early previews have been mostly positive, giving gamers plenty to look forward to Star Wars Outlaws’ to be released later this week.

Players buy Star Wars Outlaws On PC, there are refund options that allow them to test the game for a few hours at either Ubisoft’s online stores or Epic Games stores. Star Wars Outlaws will not be available for purchase on Steam at launch.

As stated in Ubisoft’s refund policy, PC players who purchased a digital copy of the game have the option to request a refund within 14 days of their purchase if the game is not has been played for over two hours.

Please note that this applies to purchases made through the Ubisoft Digital Store and all refund requests must be made through the Order History page of the Ubisoft Store.

Both Steam and the Epic Games Store offer similar refund policies that allow users to return games with less than 2 hours of playtime within 14 days, provided they are marked as refundable at the time of purchase.

Although it takes much longer than just two hours to complete Star Wars Outlawsthis should be enough time to give players a trial run of the game to see if they like it.

Alternatively, all PC players who have subscribed to Ubisoft+ Premium will gain access Star Wars Outlaws on the first day it launched as part of their subscription, which at $17.99 a month is way below the price of buying the entire game.

While PS5 players don’t have access to Ubisoft+ Premium, Xbox players do, meaning those with an Xbox Series X or S can play the game from day one as part of their subscription price.

Xbox users also have additional options to try the game through the Microsoft Store refund policy. According to the policy, players can request a refund for a digital purchase within 14 days, if the game has not done so “accumulated a considerable amount of playing time.”

Although this exact playback time is not specified in the policy, it can be assumed that the standard would be similar to other digital stores, which is less than two hours.

However, the practice also notes that refunds are not guaranteed, so players should use this method with caution.

Star Wars Outlaws on PS5

Unfortunately, Star Wars Outlaws PS5 players do not have options to try the game before committing to purchase.

Ubisoft has partnered with the PlayStation Store to offer its Classics subscription tier to PS5 owners, but there is currently no access to the Premium tier, which is the only one that offers access to the publisher’s most important releases, including Star Wars Outlaws.

Although the PlayStation Store offers refunds for digital games, it only allows returns if the purchased game has not yet been downloaded to the player’s console.

Star Wars Outlaws will be released for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on August 30.
