From the moment you step through the door, it feels like you’ve entered a different world.

The lighting is dim and golden, casting a soft glow over every table.

There’s a sleek wine closet at the entrance, filled with an impressive selection of bottles that sets the tone for what’s to come.

It’s plush but not pretentious. It feels… posh, in the best way.

Every table features a built-in stove, and if you’re lucky enough to be served by Faye, you’re in for something special.

Not only did Faye walk us through the menu, but she also cooked each cut of meat right in front of us.

With quiet confidence and a warm smile, she transformed our dinner into an immersive masterclass.

From cooking tips to cut history, we were taken on a journey through the flavours of Japan.

The Wagyu Yakiniku Feast includes a selection of premium cuts, each offering something different.

For me, the sirloin was the standout – juicy, buttery and rich.

The knuckle was surprisingly flavourful and tender, too.

The beef tongue, while interesting, was a bit too chewy for my personal taste, though I could still appreciate the quality.

The Wagyu spring rolls were another highlight, crispy on the outside with beautifully seasoned meat inside.

They came with a sweet and tangy salsa ketchup that added just the right punch.

We also couldn’t resist the truffle chips, which were, quite simply, phenomenal. Crunchy, salty and moreish, they were a perfect sidekick to the rich meats.

The drinks menu is just as refined as the food.

I was genuinely blown away by the coconut margarita – smooth, tropical, and slightly creamy with a sharp citrus kick that kept it refreshing.

But the Green Tea Geisha cocktail stole the show for me.

Light, floral and beautifully balanced, it was the perfect sip to end the meal on.

For dessert, the chocolate fondant hit every note.

Rich, warm, and gooey in the middle, it was decadent without being heavy.

With its stunning interior, exceptional service, and dishes that deliver on every level, Kanpai Classic isn’t just dinner – it’s an experience.

Whether you’re celebrating something special or just in the mood to treat yourself, it’s well worth the splurge.
