Britons would most like to have a drink with Sir Keir Starmer, of the nine key UK party leaders, according to a new poll. The study, by Paddy Power Games, asked the nation which party leader they would like to have a drink with, with 19% choosing the Labor leader.

This is closely followed by the Reform UK leader, Nigel Farage, with Rishi Sunak completing the top three. Men and women can’t agree on the best leader to go down the pub with as a quarter of men admit they’d rather go for a drink with Farage. Sir Keir has taken a liking to British women.

When it comes to the reasons why Brits want to have a drink with their preferred option, asking about their politics came in as the top answer and 18% want to ask their person what it is they actually do. Some of the funnier responses include 2 million Brits wanting to check if their elected MP really is a robot.

The infamous Count Binface and Lord Buckethead complete the top three, with 8% and 5% respectively.

Rachael Kane, Paddy Power spokesperson said: “We thought it would be good to ask the British people which party leader in the UK they would most like to have a drink with, with the leader of the Labor Party being the best.

“Cheers to the Brits for proving that the best way to understand politics is over a pint. After all, nothing says ‘tell me your politics’ like ‘I’ll take the next round!'”.
