When is Cyber Monday?
As Black Friday landed on Friday 24 November this year, Cyber Monday conveniently takes place the first Monday afterwards, AKA Monday 27 November. Always timed across the same weekend, in line with American Thanksgiving, Cyber Monday is essentially an extension of the Black Friday sales, sometimes with new and different deals going live.
What is Cyber Monday?
Back before the pandemic and the peak of online shopping, Black Friday used to be all about those in-store discounts, with customers queuing to enter at midnight, and shops seeing incredibly chaotic experiences as people tried to shop major deals. This was followed, naturally, by a day focused instead on online shopping, also known as Cyber Monday. While most people now shop Black Friday online as well, it’s best to think of Cyber Monday as an extension of the day itself, with a few extra deals peppered around as well for good measure.
