Shoppers prepare for the cold weather by grabbing the Silentnight Easi-Heat Electric Blanket while they’re on sale. Now reduced to £46.99 down from £54.99 for a twin size, the heated unit is a clever combination of an electric blanket and a comfortable mattress topper, providing both warmth and coziness.

The Sleepy People deal makes the Silentnight Easi-Heat Electric Blanket even cheaper than what you can currently find on Amazon or Marks and Spencer where it costs £60. You can also get a single size for £32.99. It has three heat settings and according to the brand, preheating your bed for 1 hour on low heat costs as little as 1p. This claim is confirmed by one shopper who wrote: “If you are worried about the electric bill, no problem with this, the blanket costs pennies to run.”

Silentnight’s Easi-Heat blanket reaches edge to edge for full mattress coverage, ensuring your entire bed is kept warm and you don’t hit any cold spots at night. With elastic straps that sit firmly in the corners of the bed, it will stay in place all night. It is also machine washable to keep your electric blanket fresh and hygienic.

Silentnight recommends turning off the device before bed to regulate your core temperature for less disturbed sleep, but the Easi-Heat Blanket has an overheat protection setting for peace of mind. In addition to the electric setting, the blanket provides comfort even when it is not switched on – it is covered with an extra soft microfleece fabric that covers your mattress completely.

Shoppers comment that it’s great for co-sleeping if the person you’re sleeping next to has different temperature preferences because it has a dual control. One person said: “Bought a king size for a king size mattress and it fits perfectly. I put the blanket on the highest setting 3 for an hour before bed and the bed is really warm. We only use one side only my husband needs the bed is warm and it hasn’t affected my sleep at all, my side of the bed is cold enough for me too.”

Someone else, ditching their hot water bottle in favor of the Easi-Heat Blanket, wrote: “This blanket heats up quickly and is very comfortable. It’s also easy to assemble. I’ve used electric blankets for years and this is one of the best I have used. Considering the price, I would recommend buying it.”

Some people were less happy with the placement of the controller, finding it awkward. “I love this the only downside to this is the connections are so close to the body and if you lay on them they are so hard,” said one customer. Another shared similar thoughts with “the cable connector on the blanket is too big sticking out, it’s about 10cm into the blanket, you’ll notice it when you’re in bed”.

There are other electric bed mattresses you can shop, including the Dreamland Double Size Sleep Tight Deluxe Fleecy Mattress Warmer for £58.65 on Amazon. Another option is the Snuggledown Intelliheat Premium Heated Topper from Dunelm which retails at £90 for a double size. You can get the Silentnight Easi-Heat Electric Blanket for £46.99 here.
