American burger group Shake Shack has just announced the launch of a new site in London later this year. The restaurant will join the home of the iconic pastel colored houses and thriving Portobello Market, Notting Hill.
Set over two floors, it will boast a prime location opposite the Notting Hill Gate station exit. There, visitors will be able to get their hands on all the main menu items, including the signature ShackBurger, fries, flat-top dogs, ShackMeister Ale and hand-spun shakes.
This is Shake Shack’s 17th site in the UK since it came to Covent Garden in 2013. And the chain recently revealed another site, which will open this summer in London St Pancras International.
Shake Shack began as a hot dog cart based in Madison Square Park in 2001. Its popularity quickly grew and in 2004 it was granted permission to open a permanent kiosk in the park, expanding its menu from New York-style hot dogs to hamburgers, hot dogs, fries and its namesake milkshakes.
It now operates over 430 restaurants in the United States and worldwide. In the UK, the restaurants are mainly based in the capital but the brand has also opened a number of establishments at Gatwick Airport and in Essex, Oxford and Cardiff.
Shake Shack Notting Hill Gate will be located at 78 Notting Hill Gate, London W11 3HS
