I may be slightly jumping the gun here, folks – but spring is on its way. I can just feel it. The sunshine, the daylight, the prospect of not having to be constantly cocooned in a blanket. It’s all within touching distance. And with the arrival of spring comes the arrival of seven shiny new routes from Ryanair. So that if the weather doesn’t decide to cooperate any time soon, we’ll at least have more options when it comes to hopping on a cheap flight out of London.
Ryanair has just announced its 2025 summer schedule, which features 206 flight routes out of London – 7 of which are completely new. The low-cost airline will now offer flights from London Stansted airport to the likes of Bodrum and Dalaman in Turkey, Clermont-Ferrand in France, Münster and Lübeck in Germany, Linz in Austria, and Reggio Calabria in Italy (which was recently named a trending travel destination for 2025, just saying…).
To support this growth in traffic, Ryanair will base a new B737 aircraft at London Stanstead for summer 2025. This comes as part of a £78.5 million investment and will take the total number of Ryanair’s London-based fleet to 56. The expansion will also create 30 new jobs for pilots, cabin crew and engineers.
The recently revealed summer schedule will also see an increase in the frequency of some existing routes from Londonincluding Gdansk in Poland, Ibiza, Malaga and Valencia in Spain, and Milan, Rome and Turin in Italy. Flights to Reggio Calabria and Linz began today (February 3), flights to Clermont-Ferrand and Münster will take off on March 30, and flights to Lübeck will start on April 1. Starting dates for the new routes to Turkey have not yet been announced.
