Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) fans may soon have news about the release of Rockstar’s upcoming game.
Sixth GTA entry is one of the most anticipated game releases this year. The first trailer on the topic GTA 6 revealed a duplicate of new characters and the setting of Leonida, Florida, which returns players to the iconic Vice City.
GTA 6’s The first trailer was released in December 2023, and little has been seen or heard about the game since then.
GTA 6 release date may be revealed this month

The year 2025 is now well and truly here, and doubts are circling GTA 6 makes a scheduled release window. However, a look at Rockstar’s past releases may indicate when the release date for the studio’s next game will be revealed.
Rockstar’s last couple of tentpole releases, Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA Vwhose release dates were announced either at the end of January or at the beginning of February. These dates were revealed Thursday ahead of Take-Two’s (Rockstar’s parent company) quarterly earnings call for their respective release years:
- GTA V: The release date is announced as January 31, 2013
- Red Dead Redemption 2: The publication date has been announced as February 1, 2018
Take-Two’s next quarterly earnings call is scheduled for February 6th, so if this trend is anything to go by, fans can learn GTA 6release date next week, likely January 30th.
GTA 6 release date or trailer?
While Rockstar won’t reveal anything until February 6th, it seems likely that fans will get some sort of update GTA 6 at the time of the investor’s invitation.
Take-Two’s quarterly earnings presentations are often a tool to reassure shareholders about the company’s financial prospects.
With GTA Since it’s one of the company’s best-selling properties, guaranteeing a release date for the game, or at least a 2025 release date, would be a strong asset to present. Alternatively, if the game isn’t slated for a 2025 release, Rockstar’s investor call may be the place to break the news.
Besides the release date, another thing GTA 6 fans want a new trailer. As mentioned, it’s been over a year since the last trailer for Rockstar’s sequel debuted, and the community believes another GTA 6 the trailer is coming.
The Take-Two investor call is another place where a GTA 6 a trailer could debut or at least be shared privately with shareholders, hinting at the release of new footage to the community soon.
GTA 6 is scheduled for release in Fall 2025 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
